Frequently Asked Questions
Difference Between Sticky IP and Rotating IP
Sticky IP: The current IP remains unchanged as long as it does not expire, allowing continuous use. If it expires, a new IP is automatically assigned.
Rotating IP: A new IP is provided with each request, regardless of whether the previous IP has expired.
HTTP(S) Response Codes
400 - Bad Request
This error occurs if the request is missing the host or there’s a general error while parsing the HTTP request. Ensure your request format is correct and include the URL before retrying.
401 - Unauthorized
This error occurs when authentication fails on the target website. Make sure to provide the correct authentication credentials in your request.
403 - Forbidden
This error occurs when the proxy server is blocked from accessing the target website. Try using a different proxy location or port.
404 - Not Found
The server cannot find the requested resource. This typically happens with broken or outdated links. Ensure the URL is correct.
408 - Request Timeout
The server closes the connection due to a timeout, regardless of the set value. Retry the request, and if the issue persists, consider changing your endpoint or session type.
407 - Proxy Authentication Required
This error occurs when authentication information is missing, the username/password is incorrect, or the channel resource is exhausted.
500 - Internal Server Error
The proxy server encountered an internal error. Please retry the request later.
502 - Bad Gateway
This error occurs when the proxy server receives an invalid response from an upstream server. Retry the request.
503 - Service Unavailable
This typically means the server (either the proxy server or the target resource) is temporarily down or overloaded and cannot respond normally. Retry the request or check if the target resource is under maintenance.
504 - Gateway Timeout
The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server. Retry the request.
522 - Connection Timeout
A custom HTTP status code indicating a timeout during the CONNECT phase of the proxy connection.
525 - No Exit Found
A custom HTTP status code meaning the proxy cannot find an exit node to fulfill the request. Adjust your request filter parameters or try again later.
407 Proxy Authentication Error
The HTTP 407 Proxy Authentication Required error occurs when the request fails due to missing or invalid proxy authentication credentials. To resolve the issue, follow these steps:
- Double-check that your
user:pass
credentials are correct in the Scrapeless dashboard. - Ensure that your channel’s traffic limit has not been reached.
Unable to connect
For the proxy connection to function correctly, please ensure the following:
- You are connected to the internet.
- The required connection ports are open.
- You are not connected to any other proxy or VPN.
- You are using the correct proxy address and a valid port (refer to the “How to Use Proxy” guide).
- If you receive a connection error from the website instead of an HTTP status code, please check the HTTP(S) error codes for more details.
Other troubleshooting options:
- Temporarily disable any antivirus software (if applicable).
- If you’re using a remote server, ensure the firewall allows the proxy port.
- Try a different proxy endpoint.
- Test with a different proxy tool.
Try connecting via another network (e.g., mobile hotspot or a different Wi-Fi connection).
What to do if the IP speed is slow?
Scrapeless proxies offer upload and download speeds between 1Mbps and 5Mbps (1Mbps = 128KB/s). If you’re experiencing slow speeds, we recommend reducing the number of open windows and checking your network connection speed.
